UL Certification
MJM Manufacturing has been certified by UL (Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.) to manufacture for US and Canada Type I cabinets and cut-out boxes for computers, electronic equipment, communication equipment and electronic surveillance systems.
In Canada, the United States and around the world, the mission of the Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is public safety. UL tests products because they are concerned about safety.
UL has been testing products for 100 years - an unmatched milestone in product safety. That's longer than any other certification organization in North America. And throughout the last century, UL Marks have come to represent something unique - an organization that always puts public safety first. UL will never adopt a practice or short cut that may compromise product safety. All UL Marks - whether for Canada or the United States - represent the unquestionable integrity of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.
Who uses UL's services? Many Canadian and United States product standards are mandated by law - either federally or provincially. But, use of UL or any one particular certification organization is not required by law. Manufacturers all over the world choose to submit products to UL for testing and safety certification. These manufacturers are concerned with the safety of their products and they know safety-conscious and concerned consumers look for UL Marks on the products they buy. Manufacturers come to UL, because no other testing organization is so widely accepted and recognized.
